Dry fruits and nuts are often been quoted as a complete food and they are highly consumed by most of the fitness enthusiasts around. 1. Weight issues
Most of the people don’t know much about the calorific value of the dry fruits and they must be aware of the fact that nuts are loaded with wholesome energy. This, in turn, can make the person go high on weight out of the overconsumption of the dry fruits in the process. Studies have revealed that it takes around 3500 calories to gain one pound of weight. This means that you can get around 250 calories from a handful of nuts which will result in an increase of 2 pounds over a period of one month.
2. Asthma and high blood pressure
Asthma is one of the most common issues with people around nowadays and overconsumption of dry fruits (which are processed with sulphur dioxide) can make you go through a foul smell. Hence, if you are an asthma patient, you might experience a sense of discomfort. On the other side, the same overconsumption can bring along issues like high blood pressure, obesity and other allergic reactions in the body.
3. Gastrointestinal issues
It’s a given that dry fruits come along with a great amount of fiber and this really helps the digestion process to the core. Still, the overconsumption of the same might lead to several issues like bloating, diarrhea, constipation, cramps, and flatulence. This is where you have to always take care of the quantity and ensure that the consumption doesn’t go on the higher side.
4. Decaying of the teeth
We all know that dry fruit comes up with a good amount of sugar content and they are tend to be stuck together due to their properties. This is the same reason which leads to the decaying of the tooth and further makes the worst-case scenario forward. This is the reason why the overconsumption of dry fruits is not recommended by any means.
