Review these tips to prepare for your next camping trip.
Camping Supplies
You’re going to need to pack everything for sleeping, shelter, food, and entertainment. Bring clothes for different kinds of weather, regardless of what the forecast predicts. It’s never a bad idea to bring extra of anything. Pack a tent, sleeping bags, pillows, and lanterns for sleeping. For around your campsite you’ll need camping chairs, a table, and supplies for the site. This could be anything from duct tape, a tool kit, extra batteries, and a first aid kit. If you’re not sure about sleeping outside in a tent, consider staying in comfortable Broken Bow cabins. Cabins are fully equipped with basic utilities and essentials to make your stay feel more like your home away from home. With a bed to sleep in and a roof over your head, you will have more protection than a tent can provide from the wilderness.
Camping Activities
You’ll have plenty to do at your campsite, so you never have to worry about being bored. When you arrive, start by setting up your tent and collecting firewood. Throughout your time there you will need to build a fire, prepare meals, and prepare for other activities. Bring a frisbee to toss, kites to fly, and any other games you can set up at your campsite. Most importantly, you’ll need to bring hiking boots and a backpack for exploring designated hiking trails. Don’t forget to wear sunblock and bug spray when you go hiking. If you’re located near a body of water, you can likely plan plenty of exciting water adventures. Bring any equipment you may need for fishing, kayaking, canoeing, or swimming. Some campsites may even have a playground and group activities available on site. If you do find yourself with some downtime, consider bringing along a book to read or a journal to write in.
When you go camping, you can never be too prepared. Bring along everything you might need for a comfortable stay in the great outdoors.
